asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what geographical area is served by his Department's integrated local office in Wick.

Mr. Newton

The Department's office at Wick is responsible for contributory and supplementary benefit work arising in the following areas: Caithness district, including the Isle of Stroma; Sutherland district to Bonar Bridge in the east and following closely the Sutherland district boundary to Loch Kirkcraig just south of Lochinver in the west.

The office is also responsible for supplementary benefit work and contributory benefit inspectorate work for the Orkney Isles, with the exception of the inspectorate work for the town area of Kirkwall.
