§ Mr. Masonasked the Secretary of State for Employment what reductions he has effected in the youth training schemes in Barnsley and district, particularly those sponsored by voluntary organisations under mode B1; why these reductions are taking place; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Peter MorrisonIn fact, a small increase in the total number of places provided under the youth training scheme in the Barnsley district is planned for 1984–85. Within this total, the level of mode B1 provision is planned to remain the same. We are confident that the needs of youngsters in the area will be met.
