§ Sir Keith JosephThe information requested could be supplied only at disproportionate cost. The Appropriation Accounts for 1982–83 for the Votes in Class X give information on expenditure by the Department, including payments to non-Government bodies. Such payments were made under specific statutory authority or on the authority of the Appropriation Act. Details on grants from the Department to voluntary bodies in that year were also given in my reply to a question from the hon. Member for Exeter (Mr. Hannam) on 29 November 1982. [Vol. 33, c. 70–72.]
