§ Mr. MacfarlaneGovernment grant-in-aid to the Sports Council for the financial year 1982–83 was £23.75 million, which included £1 million specifically for Merseyside; supplementary grants totalling £4.25 million were also made. Grant-in-aid for 1983–84 is £27.13 million.
