§ Mr. Norman Atkinsonasked the Secretary of State for Employment if, due to their work load and the sensitivity of their task, he will now consider increasing the number of inspectors employed by the Nuclear Installation Inspectorate as a means of improving the quality of the service.
§ Mr. GummerI am advised by the chairman of the Health and Safety Commission that the number of nuclear installations inspectors currently in post, at 100, is higher than it has ever been and that the inspectorate plans a further recruitment campaign in 1984.
