§ Mr. Andrew F. Bennettasked the Secretary of State for Employment when the Government intend to lay regulations on hazardous substances and their conveyance by road in packaged goods.
§ Mr. GummerI am advised by the chairman of the Health and Safety Commission that the commission has approved the publication of a consultative document containing proposals for regulations to control the conveyance by road of dangerous substances in packages. It is expected that the consultative document will be available at the beginning of 1984. Subject to the outcome of consultation, the final proposals of the commission will be forwarded to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport by the end of that year.
