§ 24. Mr. Abseasked the Secretary of State for Wales whether he will make it his practice for international sporting teams playing in Wales to be given an official reception jointly by his Department and the Welsh Sports Council.
§ Mr. John Stradling ThomasThere may be occasions when it would be appropriate for the Department to extend hospitality to visiting national teams, but my right hon. Friend has no intention of making this a general practice. Hospitality for visiting teams at all levels must remain primarily a matter for the sports bodies who invite them.
