§ Mrs. Rumboldasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what reply he has sent to the representation from the National Federation of Self-Employed and Small Businesses that it was unfairly discriminated against through specialised bulk payment terms.
§ Mr. TrippierThe federation has written to me a number of times and I have met its representatives to discuss discriminatory discounts. I told them that although I was not convinced that the regulation of discounting was necessary at present I would be examining the issues further. The federation has written recently to all hon. Members, several of whom have written to me. I am considering their representations.
