§ Mr. Michael Brownasked the Secretary of State for Transport what are the transitional provisions envisaged by section 76 of the Transport Act 1982.
§ Mr. David HowellSI 1982 1804 makes transitional provisions in connection with section 64 of the Act. Transitional provisions will also be required in relation to section 52 and schedule 4 of the Act. I shall decide what provisions may be appropriate in the light of the consultations shortly to take place on the draft regulations implementing that section and schedule. Implementation of those other parts of the Act yet to be commenced may also require use of section 76 in due course.
