§ Mr. Alexander FletcherOn 10 March 1983 the number of unemployed claimants in Scotland was 341,500, a fall of 5,900 from the February figure. The seasonally adjusted figures show a slight increase in unemployment over that month, but by less than the average for recent quarters.
