§ Mr. MayhewThe information necessary to enable an estimate to be made with regard to the police service is not held centrally and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. I understand from my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Security, that this is also the position with regard to the ambulance service.
