asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on recent developments concerning attempts to decontaminate Gruinard Island.

I refer the right hon. Member to the answer that my hon. Friend the Minister of State for Defence Procurenent gave to the hon. Member for Stockport, North (Mr. Bennett) on 28 January 1983—[Vol. 35, c.553.] The arrangements for this year's field trials have not yet been settled, but it is hoped that once again these will take place during the summer months.
