§ Mr. Alexander FletcherNo record is maintained by my Department of the number of new town development corporation houses affected by damp or condensation but for purposes of the Select Committee's recent inquiry the development corporations supplied the following estimates:
Number Cumbernauld 1,288 East Kilbride 308 Glenrothes 480 Irvine Nil Livinston 1,120 The problem is mainly confined to certain construction types and the corporations concerned are carrying out remedial works.
