§ Mr. Clinton Davisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will publish in the Official Report the results of the monitoring by the Metropolitan police since the beginning of May 1982 of racial attacks and incidents using a definition of racial attack which relies on the perception of the victims.
§ Mr. MayhewFrom 1 May 1982 to 20 March 1983 there were 1,638 incidents in the Metropolitan police area which had, in the view of either the persons concerned or the officers investigating them, an element of racial motivation.
