HC Deb 10 March 1983 vol 38 c459W
Q27. Sir John Biggs-Davison

asked the Prime Minister whether she has had any communications with the heads of other European Governments regarding the intention of the Political Affairs Committee of the European assembly to intervene in the domestic affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; and whether she will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

Her Majesty's Government have ensured that our partners are fully aware of our view that the European Parliament has no business to discuss the internal political affairs of a member state.
