§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThis is an alternative to one of the recommendations of the informal working group on effective prescribing, which was that generic substitution should be permitted unless a practitioner specifically indicated that it was not acceptable. We are consulting on the working group's recommendations and will take the hon. Member's proposal into account when considering the comments we receive.
