Mr. Andrew F. Bennett

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services, pursuant to the Minister of State's reference to June in the Official Report, 7 February, c. 812, whether any previous approach concerning potentially fraudulent claims from persons living in lodging houses in Oxford had been made to his officials by officers of the Thames Valley police.

Mr. Rossi

No.

Mr. Andrew F. Bennett

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will state precisely the respective dates on which (a) he, (b) the Minister for Social Security and (c) the Under-Secretary of State for Health and Social Security were given the note prepared by his officials referred to by the Minister for Social Security on 7 February, Official Report, c. 814–5 concerning Operation Major.
