asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what recent discussions he has had with the Government of Mexico and other countries about co-operation to secure orderly changes in the price of oil.

Mr. Rifkind

During his visit to Mexico my right hon. Friend had useful discussions with the President of Mexico and the Foreign Minister on a wide range of international prblems, including the world oil market and the importance of ensuring its stability.

My right hon. Friend has had no discussions with Governments of other oil-producing countries on current oil price matters.
