§ 22. Mr. Easthamasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what was the last occasion when the question of the imprisonment of Nelson Mandela was raised by Her Majesty's Government with the South African Government.
§ Mr. OnslowWe have set out our views on the continued detention of Mr. Mandela on a number of occasions. Most recently we supported a statement by representatives of the European Community at the United Nations on 11 October 1982 which called for the release of Mr. Mandela, and other political prisoners.
