HC Deb 09 March 1983 vol 38 c429W
21. Mr. Aitken

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he has received any representations from the Spanish Government concerning the future of the Crown colony of Gibraltar; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Pym

No such representations have been made. Spanish aspirations towards Gibraltar are well known and of long-standing. Britain's commitment to honour the wishes of the people of Gibraltar in this matter is also totally clear.

31. Mr. Brotherton

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he has any plans to meet the Foreign Minister of Spain to discuss Gibraltar.

Mr. Pym

I refer my hon. Friend to the answer I gave the hon. Member for Norfolk, North-West (Mr. Brocklebank-Fowler) earlier today.
