16. Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will take initiatives to obtain an international solution to the Falkland Islands problem.

Mr. Onslow

I do not believe that such initiatives would serve any useful purpose at present.

35. Mr. Dalyell

asked Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has had with the United States Government about the Falkland Islands.

Mr. Pym

I and other members of the Government have had such discussions on a number of occasions.
