§ Mr. Alexander FletcherMy right hon. Friend announced his decisions on the level of rate support grant for 1983–84 on 10 December 1982. It is the responsibility of individual education authorities to decide on the level and extent of assistance for school clothing in the light of their knowledge of individual cases and in relation to their other spending priorities and current expenditure guidelines for 1983–84.
