(2) how many (a) academic and (b) non-academic staff in universities in Scotland have been made redundant in 1981–82 and 1982–83; and how many are estimated to lose their jobs in 1983–84.
§ Mr. WaldegraveFollowing are(a) payments to universities in Scotland recommended by the University Grants Committee for expenditure on redundancy compensation—under the arrangements announced on 25 January and 27 March 1982—in the academic year 1981–82; (b) estimated payments in the academic year 1982–83 to the end of March 1983; and (c) estimated payments for the remainder of the academic year 1982–83 and for the academic year 1983–84.
