§ Mr. AncramThe assessment of remedial work required for local authority housing is the responsibility of the authorities concerned, and the Department has had no recent discussions with any authority over costs involved in particular cases involving Reema and Bison systems. My right hon. Friend would expect local authorities to take all such factors into account in preparing their housing programmes, on which annual allocations are based.
