HC Deb 29 July 1983 vol 46 c701W
Mr. Corbett

asked the Secretary of State for Transport when it is expected that carriageway repairs currently being undertaken between junctions 5 and 6 on the M6 motorway will be completed; what is the estimated cost of these repairs; and when the carriageway surfaces were last repaired.

Mrs. Chalker

Current work on the M6 between junctions 5 and 6 to replace joints and road surfacing is due to be completed on 7 October 1983. The estimated cost is £1.2 million including supervision and administration. The joints and surfacing on this length have not previously been comprehensively replaced although temporary repairs to some joints and small areas of surfacing have been undertaken from time to time.
