In view of the need to curb expenditure, what is the cost of sending leaflets DD 8299180 Pro 18625 and DD 8333503 Pro 18857 to motor vehicle owners with the Road Tax Renewal Form.

The cost of printing and dispatch of 23 million copies of each of these leaflets was about £140,000. £130,000 of this is printing costs. At a cost of less than a third of a penny per leaflet, this is a highly cost-effective way of informing the motoring public about fuel saving, and about helping the disabled motorist.
