HC Deb 21 February 1983 vol 37 c298W
41. Mr. Norman Hogg

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he is satisfied with the level of the United Kingdom's contribution to the United Nations international children's emergency fund and the United Nations development programme.

Mr. Rifkind

Yes. We have been able to pledge £18.5 million to the United Nations development programme in 1983—the same amount as last year. Our contribution to the general resources of the United Nations international children's fund is expected to be £6 million in 1983, its highest level ever. Both pledges are subject to Parliamentary approval.
