Mr. Rooker

asked the Secretary of State for Transport when the contracts for the replacement of bearings on the Bromford viaduct of the midland link motorways will be finished; and if he will make a statement.

The current contracts for the replacement of bearing plinths will be completed very shortly. Further work of the same nature will be done during the summer.

asked the Secretary of State for Transport when the contract for the repainting of the Gravelly Hill viaduct of the midland link motorways will be finished; and if he will make a statement.

This contract was suspended in December due to adverse weather conditions. Work will re-commence when conditions are more suitable, and we shall aim to achieve completion during the summer.
