asked the Minister for Trade what was the United Kingdom's non-oil balance of payments current account in 1982; and how this compares with 1981.

In 1982 the non-oil balance is estimated to have been in deficit by £2.4 billion, compared with a deficit of £0.1 billion in 1981.
