HC Deb 21 February 1983 vol 37 c310W
Sir Geoffrey Johnson Smith

asked the Minister for Trade what steps he proposes to take to change the regulations regarding aerial advertising; and when he proposes to make these changes.

Mr. Sproat

I announced last July that I would lay amending regulations before the House to relax the current ban on advertising by means of small captive balloons and banners towed behind aeroplanes. As regards the timing of this change, I regret that I have nothing to add to the answer I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Southend, East (Mr. Taylor) on 17 January.—[Vol. 35, c.68.]
