§ Mr. Craigenasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will provide a detailed breakdown of the £260 million allocated to the community programme and job splitting schemes announced in his statement on 8 November 1982.
§ Mr. BrittanThe figure of £260 million includes additional gross expenditure of £230 million on the 95W community programme and £30 million on the job splitting subsidy. Administrative costs account for three per cent. of the provision in each case. The remainder is for grants to project sponsors, in the case of the community programme, and grants to employers, in the case of job splitting.
