HC Deb 10 February 1983 vol 36 cc440-1W
Mr. Stainton

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will ensure that the Griffiths committee investigation into the efficiency of the National Health Service has access to central, regional and area data, and that the committee reviews the mechanics of prescription control and re-imbursement, and also consults with the United Kingdom private sector and relevant bodies overseas.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

Mr. Griffiths and his team will have access to all relevant data and to private sector and other bodies at home and overseas. They have not yet decided on the detailed subjects for examination or their precise method of working.
