asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the Secretary of State for the Home Department will secure a report from the Chief Constable of Cheshire on the financial cost to his force of the security arrangements that had to be made outside the printing works of the Messenger Newspaper Group at Warrington during the recent unlawful picketing.

My right honourable and learned friend the Home Secretary has asked the chief constable to provide information about the cost of policing the picketing at Warrington. I will reply when the information is available.
