§ 22. Mr. Chopeasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what he is doing to encourage local education authorities to increase the cost-effectiveness of their services by inviting tenders from the private sector.
§ Mr. DunnIt is for the individual authority to judge in the light of its own circumstances which particular measures to adopt. We know that some see great potential in private sector tendering, and expect that others will he watching them closely.
