Whether they have now completed the revision of the guidance notes on cost benefits on which grant aid for agriculture as well as management agreements and compulsory purchase are based; whether this now takes full account of government subsidies of all kinds; and in what form they will be published or otherwise made available.
§ Lord BelsteadCurrent guidance notes on cost benefit in this area relate only to the assessment of arterial land drainage and flood protection schemes. The present revision of the methods to be used for evaluating the economic worthwhileness of these schemes has not yet been completed. When the revision has been completed guidance notes will he issued to the statutory drainage bodies and will be made available to interested organisations.
