§ Mr. Murphyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what recent representations he has received from individuals and organisations regarding the future funding of polytechnic students; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. BrookeMy right hon. Friend has received a number of such representations. As he announced to the House on 17 November, he has determined the total resources to be available for polytechnics and other local authority higher education institutions in 1984–85. He will be determining the distribution of these resource shortly in the light of advice from the national advisory body.
