HC Deb 13 December 1983 vol 50 c391W
Mr. Lawler

asked the Attorney-General when the Director of Public Prosecutions expects to announce his decision regarding fresh charges being brought against the two youths who attacked Nora Hussey on 24 July 1982 in Bradford and inflicted injuries from which she died on 16 July 1983.

The Solicitor-General

The Director of Public Prosecutions has decided that in the circumstances of this case the public interest does not require a further prosecution against the two youths already convicted of the attempted robbery and unlawful wounding of Nora Hussey. This decision was communicated to the chief constable of the West Yorkshire metropolitan police in a letter dated 6 December 1983.
