HC Deb 13 December 1983 vol 50 cc398-9W
Mr. Fisher

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what further evidence he has received to support his estimate of growth in 1984 in the export of (a) manufactures, (b) non-manufactured goods, (c) services and (d) fuel.

Mr. Peter Rees

[pursuant to his reply, 12 December 1983, c. 343]: It is much too early to expect any new information to throw significant light on the forecasts for 1984 contained in the autumn statement.

Mr. Fisher

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer by how much he estimates exports will grow in 1984, in both percentage and money terms, in (a) manufactures, (b) non-manufactured goods, (c) services and (d) fuel.

Mr. Peter Rees

[pursuant to his reply, 12 December 1983, c. 343]: It is not the practice to publish a quantitative breakdown of the exports forecasts, but I refer the hon. Gentleman to paragraph 1.16 of the autumn statement.
