§ Mr. Dubsasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list all those projects currently in receipt of European social fund money (a) in Wandsworth and (b) elsewhere in London.
§ Mr. GummerThe bulk of allocations from the European social fund is in respect of national employment and training schemes and cannot be broken down on a regional basis. In 1982, for example, the Manpower Services Commission was allocated £167,958,514 for all its eligible training programmes, which was 65.3 per cent. of the total allocation for the United Kingdom.
A list of schemes in Greater London sponsored by local authorities and voluntary and private organisations was given in answer to the hon. Member for Peckham (Ms. Harman) on 23 November. — [Vol. 49, c. 135–36.] People from Wandsworth may have benefited from these schemes, although none is running in Wandsworth itself.
