§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Under-Secretary of State answering in respect of the Arts if he proposes to introduce legislation to transfer the Iveagh bequest to the Victoria and Albert museum.
§ Mr. WaldegraveResponsibility for the Iveagh bequest, Kenwood, after the abolition of the Greater London council in 1986 will be decided in the light of the Government's proposals contained in the arts consultative paper and of the representations received during the current consultation period. The need for and nature of any new legislation governing the Bequest will depend upon that outcome.
