§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for Transport if, in respect of his newly announced principles for London regional transport, he proposes to require such a body to ensure approximation of fare charges between buses and underground railways subject to its control.
§ Mrs. ChalkerUnder Clause 8 of the London Regional Transport Bill published on 2 December, the new authority will determine the general level and structure of fares to be charged for all public passenger transport services under their control. In doing so it will be subject to the various duties and other requirements specified in the Bill.
