§ Mr. BrittanA report on this matter by the chief constable of the west midlands was the subject of a very full and public discussion at a meeting of the West 561W Midlands police authority on 16 November. I was pleased to hear that it had reaffirmed its confidence in the force. I fully share its confidence.
