Whether, in view of the very limited cost involved, they will reconsider their refusal to give free visas to the Polish war veterans who fought for this country in the Battle of Britain, at Tobruk, and at E1 Alamein to enable all of them to visit England during May of this year.
§ The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Lord Belstead)Fees for United Kingdom visas are payable by all private applicants and may be waived only in certain circumstances such as destitution or for refugees. Her Majesty's Embassy in Warsaw has been informed by the Polish Ex-Servicemen's Association that 80 in all of its members wish to visit the United Kingdom, none of whom has indicated that he will have difficulty in paying the normal visa fee or would have any objection to doing so. Their visa applications are now being processed as quickly as possible.
