HL Deb 27 April 1983 vol 441 c1039WA
Lord Northfield

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether provisions of the Scottish Game Acts 1732, 1832 and 1877 still apply to deer; whether any Scottish Game Acts prior to 1732 are still in force; and whether any of the latter apply to deer.

The Minister of State, Scottish Office (The Earl of Mansfield)

Neither the Game (Scotland) Act 1832 nor the Game Laws Amendment (Scotland) Act 1877 apply to deer. No Scottish Game Act was enacted in 1732 and the Game Acts passed before that date are not now in force.
