HC Deb 26 April 1983 vol 41 c297W
Mr. Arnold

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many Bank of England officials are attached to British missions overseas; in which countries; and whether there has been any change-since May 1979.

Mr. Pym

There are six Bank of England officials attached to British missions overseas — three at the United Kingdom delegation to the International Monetary Fund in Washington, one at the British embassy in Tokyo, one at the office of the United Kingdom permanent representative to the European Community in Brussels and one at the Riyadh office of the British embassy in Jedda. The only change since May 1979 is that a Bank of England official at the embassy in Kuwait has been replaced by the one in Saudi Arabia.
