asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will provide details showing the organisational chain of command and responsibilities of each of the Fraud Squads in the United Kingdom; whether they will state when the last review of their activities took place; and whether they will publish the results of such a review.

Chief officers of police are responsible for the activities of their force fraud squads and for keeping them under review. These squads are also subject to inspection by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary. Annual reports published by chief officers cover the activities of fraud squads.
