§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithFollowing pressure from the United Kingdom, the European Commission has again substantially increased, from today, export refunds on live pigs, pigmeat carcases and cuts to all destinations. On carcases and main cuts the changes represent an increase of 60 per cent. I hope that these higher rates will encourage exports to third countries and thus help to strengthen the market here and throughout the Community.
