§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what are the qualifications and experience of Mr. Edward Berman which are directly relevant to the problems of inner urban areas of the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Heseltine:The hon. Gentleman will find a full account of Mr. Berman's career if he consults "Who's Who". The 14 years Mr. Berman has spent doing community development work in inner cities in the United Kingdom and building up the inter-action trust provide much experience that is relevant to the work of my Department. The largest project in the hon. Member's consituency in which inter-action has been involved is Newham city farm.
