§ Mr. King:Following the announcement of additional enterprise zones by my right hon. and learned Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer on 27 July, we have received 55 applications from local authorities or new town development corporations in England which we are now considering. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State will issue invitations to prepare enterprise zone scheme s after the successful applicants have been chosen.—[Vol. 28, c. 949.]
