HC Deb 29 November 1982 vol 33 cc95-6W
Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what meteorological advice was given to MV "Wild Grebe" during her voyage from Tenerife to Rotterdam between 19 and 24 March by Her Majesty's ships and Royal Fleet Auxiliaries proceeding south in company at a position some 150 miles off the coast of Portugal; and at what date.

Mr. Blaker

A number of Her Majesty's ships and Royal Fleet Auxiliaries were engaged in the annual training exercise "Springtrain" in the area at that time. It is open to any ship on the high seas to seek advice from any other. Attempts to trace this particular message would involve disproportionate expense.
